Bonham ISD addresses three new COVID-19 cases

Bonham Independent School District recently posted new COVID-19 case information on its school website at bonhamisd.org.

“This letter serves as notification to all staff, students and their families that lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases have been identified on the Finley-Oates, I.W. Evans and L. H. Rather campuses within the Bonham Independent School District…On Monday, August 24, 2020, Bonham ISD learned the students tested positive for COVID-19. The students were in attendance at the Finley-Oates, I.W. Evans and L.H. Rather campuses for a brief amount of time today. This letter serves as notification to all staff, students and their families that lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases have been identified on the Finley-Oates, I.W. Evans and L. H. Rather campuses within the Bonham Independent School District.”

The school district said it has determined which children in each respective Bonham ISD campus were in close contact with those who received a confirmed positive test. Furthermore, the school district said that staff members have called those affected for additional guidance and instruction. All areas have been thoroughly sanitized, but COVID-19 guidelines will still be enforced.
