As a team, Bonham High School saw its varsity cross country season come to a close at a recent district meet at Bells High School earlier this week. Even though neither the boys nor girls varsity team advanced past the district meet, two individuals advanced.
Two Bonham boys cross country runners placed in the top-10 individually to make it to the upcoming regional meet. Said Longoria, a senior, and Pablo Ruiz, a sophomore, punched their tickets to the Regional Meet in Class 3A, Region II.
Longoria earned sixth place and Ruiz took home 10th place. The Regional Meet will take place on Monday, Nov. 9 with race times and a location to be announced. For more sports coverage, click here.
