The 14th Annual Heritage Day Feestival, scheduled for May 2, has been canceled until further notice amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It is with great sadness that I must tell you the Heritage Day Board of Directors has made the decision to cancel the 14th Annual Heritage Day Festival on May 2, 2020,” said the organization in a statement. “The mayor, declared a state of emergency for Bonham and all events are cancelled until further notice.”
They further stated, “COVID-19 has caused a time of turmoil that none of us have experienced before and hope to never see again. Although this is an unfortunate turn of events, we are hoping to make the 2021 Heritage Day Bigger and Better than ever.”
