Ector High School senior baseball player Kenny Nelms recently signed his letter of intent to play college baseball at Crowley’s Ridge College in Paragould, Arkansas.

Crowley’s Ridge is a private, four-year Christian liberal arts college, which is an NAIA Independent affiliate.

Nelms, who is also the salutatorian of his graduating class, lettered in baseball, basketball and tennis. He played for the Class 1A Eagles’ varsity baseball program for four years as a pitcher, catcher and shortstop, contributed to the school’s varsity basketball program for three years and made his mark with the tennis program by advancing to State last year in boys singles.

Nelms made his decision in early April of this year and the school held a public signing for him May 26 in the school’s Billie Finnell Gymnasium.
