President Donald Trump on Monday said that his administration is recommending, for the next 15 days, people avoid gatherings of more than 10 people, as well as, restaurants, bars or public food courts.

Trump and the coronavirus task force said they’d much rather be ahead of the curve than behind it and therefore have made the decision to toughen the guidelines.

“Therefore my administration is recommending that all Americans, including the young and healthy, work to engage in schooling from home when possible,” said Trump from the White House. “Avoid gathering in groups of more than 10 people, avoid discretionary travel, and avoid eating and drinking in bars, restaurants, and public food courts.”

He also added that if anyone in a household test positive for the virus, everyone who lives there should stay home.

The president also said that a vaccine for COVID-19 is in phase one clinical trials.

“We will rally together as one nation and we will defeat the virus,” Trump said. “We can turn the corner and turn it quickly.”
