Now more than ever communities are coming together to help those in need.
Main Street Presbyterian Church in Honey Grove is “blessing” those in need with the construction of their new Blessing Box.
“It’s like a miniature pantry…or a free library,” said the church on their Facebook page. “As the sign says, ‘Take what you need…Bring what you can.’ It’s called a Blessing Box because those who leave items are blessed enough to be able to do so, and those who are in need are blessed that the items are there for them.”
David Williams of Heritage Construction built and donated the box, and Custom Glass & Mirror made and contributed the tempered glass doors.
Suggested non-perishable food items are canned vegetables, peanut butter, dried beans, rice, hearty soups, tuna, canned spaghetti, ravioli, cereal, cornbread mix, etc.
The Blessing Box is located at 404 East Main Street in Honey Grove.
