Everson Griffen, an ex-Minnesota Vikings defensive end and 10-year NFL veteran, recently signed with the Dallas Cowboys on a one-year contract worth up to $6 million. The one-year deal was first reported by the NFL Network.

The contract Griffen signed will pay him a base salary of $3 million and he can earn up to $3 million in roster bonuses.

Griffen, 32, was selected by the Vikings with the 100th overall pick in the fourth round of the NFL Draft in 2010. The former USC Trojans standout went on to play all 10 seasons to date for Minnesota. During his time with the Vikings, Griffen has compiled career totals of 256 solo tackles, 74.5 sacks, 12 forced fumbles, and 2 interceptions.

The 74.5 sacks Griffen amassed with Minnesota is fourth on the all-time list of franchise sack leaders. He recorded 8 sacks during the 2019 season. Griffen has been selected to the Pro Bowl four times in his decade-long NFL career, which includes his most recent trip last season. This year, Griffen joins a defensive line anchored by the likes of DeMarcus Lawrence, Gerald McCoy, Tyrone Crawford, Aldon Smith, and possibly Randy Gregory.
