Bonham High School competes at UIL competition

Bonham High School recently sent several vocalists and a pianist to the UIL Solo and Ensemble at Lovejoy High School on Sat. Feb 1. 

Students competed with challenging music in both categories.

 “They worked so hard, and we’re so proud of their class, maturity, and hard work. McKenna Pate and Lucas Lira will be representing BHS at the UIL State competition in May,” Bonham High School posted on their Facebook page.

Results:

Lucas Lira (Class 1 piano)-1 Superior

McKenna Pate (Class 1 vocal)-1 Superior

Gianna Buffalo (Class 1 vocal)-2 Excellent

Aspen Givens (Class 1 vocal)-2 Excellent

Chassitie Blowers (Class 1 vocal)-3 Good

Heavan Warner (Class 2 vocal)-2 Excellent

Class 1 is the most difficult music (college-level) and works down to Class 2 and 3 in difficulty. It was the first time going for students Givens and Warner.
