Everyone is invited to attend the seventh annual Spirit of Giving Community Christmas Party on Saturday, November 20 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
The parking lot of First Presbyterian Church at the corner of 9th and Center streets in Bonham will be filled with new and gently used items. Everyone who attends, regardless of age, will receive five tickets to “purchase” anything they want for FREE. Items large and small have a “cost” of one ticket. No income limits are imposed and no paperwork is required.
Church and community members have been collecting items all year for this special event. Items available will include holiday decorations, furniture, diapers, toys, linens, household goods, and more! Drawings will be held for bicycles (both new and used).
Hot dogs and fixings will be provided by the K5 Fannin Radio Club. Cookies and hot chocolate will also be available.
All items, refreshments, and drawing entries are FREE!
Tickets will be given out at the 9th Street entrance to the First Presbyterian parking lot. Please do not park at the apartment complex that adjoins the FPC parking lot.
This year’s Spirit of Giving will be held in memory of Sally Eskue, who was instrumental in starting this popular event. Eskue, an ordained elder and active member of First Presbyterian Church, had a generous spirit and a heart to serve. She practiced her faith by helping others, and worked tirelessly to support those in need in our community.
The 2021 Spirit of Giving partners include First Presbyterian Church, First United Methodist Church, K5 Fannin Radio Club, Bonham ISD, Chi Lambda, Living Word Church of God, First Baptist Church, Bethlehem Baptist Church, Ivanhoe Baptist Church, Fannin County Retired Teachers, Solid Rock First Pentecostal Church, and Cub Scouts Pack 6054.
In case of rain, the event will be held Sunday, November 21 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
