Ford Motor Company has issued a recall of more than 661,000 Explorer SUVs after it was discovered the roof rail covers could potentially detach due to retention pins coming loose.
Ford Explorers covered under this recall include 2016-2019 models. The covered vehicles have rail covers painted silver, black or absolute black, and customers will begin to be notified the week of June 28.
Ford has not been made aware of any accident or injury-related reports.
