Between now and Oct. 15, McDonald’s is giving teachers and school staff free “Thank you breakfast” to honor them as these workers tend to go unrecognized.
“We were honored to give away 12 million free Thank You Meals to first responders and healthcare workers last year and now, with educators going above and beyond, we’re excited to recognize them in a way only McDonald’s can,” said Joe Erlinger, President, McDonald’s USA, in a statement.
Teachers and school staffers simply need to visit the local McDonald’s during breakfast hours, show them a valid work ID and pick up a free meal. These Thank You Meals – consisting of a breakfast sandwich, hash browns and a drink –come in a classic Happy Meal box. Participants will have the option of an Egg McMuffin; a Bacon Egg and Cheese Biscuit; or a Sausage Biscuit. The drink options include a medium hot or iced McCafe coffee or a medium soft drink.
As the offer is available once per person per day, teachers and staffers will be able to stop by McDonald’s all week long for their Thank You Meal.
