A man is behind bars after a search warrant on Friday led to the discovery of multiple firearms and drugs in Fannin County.

Fannin County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Frank Deater said Fannin County Narcotics and the Bonham Police Department Narcotics Unit conducted the raid at 405 Katy Blvd. in Bonham on Feb. 28 around 2:25 p.m.

“The combined members used a distraction device and gained entry to catch the suspect Ryan Alan Posey by surprise and without incident,” said Deater.

According to reports, the warrant was for illegal and controlled substances being sold out of this location.

“During the search of the building the team found approximately 8 grams of meth, 1 gram of another substance, two handguns and one shotgun and a black powder rifle and $551.00 US currency,” added Deater.

The suspect was booked into Fannin County Jail for processing on multiple charges.

The case is still under investigation.
