Dr Pepper lovers are in a slight panic after the company announced Monday on Twitter that there is a shortage of the product in all flavors across the nation.
“We know it’s harder to find Dr Pepper these days. We’re working on it – hang tight!” they tweeted.
It didn’t take long for Twitter users to take to the platform voicing their concerns about the shortage, even with the company saying it wasn’t time to panic yet.
“Ok, who had #DrPepper Shortage on their Pandemic Bingo card? Y’all were worried about Godzilla and Aliens so this one just snuck right up on us. #2020worstyear,” tweeted Lisa Sutton.
Benjamin Duer tweeted, “In the midst of this pandemic I rediscovered my childhood love for @drpepper and now there’s a shortage. #sorrynotsorry.”
The low inventory is the result of increased demand for the product adding to the growing list of companies that can’t keep up with stock since the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
“Rest assured we’re working with our local distribution partners experiencing low inventory levels in certain markets to meet this increased demand, and we encourage every loyal Dr Pepper fan to continue checking their local retailer for their favorite varieties,” the company said to CNN.
