The National Football League has left the decision up to its teams in how they mandate COVID-19 policy regarding fan attendance at games. Although 23 NFL teams will not allow fans into its stadium for at least the upcoming season opener, the Dallas Cowboys are not one of those teams. Cowboys’ long-time owner and general manager, Jerry Jones, confirmed that fans will be able to attend games at Cowboys Stadium this year.

Jones said that Texas Governor Greg Abbott gave approval for fans to attend the season opener and beyond, but the amount of fans allowed to attend has not been determined. The NFL has yet to release a league-wide attendance policy. The Cowboys’ home opener will take place at noon Sunday, Sept. 20, against the Atlanta Falcons.
