Game Warden set to retire after just under 25 years with TPWD

Hunt County Texas Game Warden Benny Richards has announced his retirement after serving just under 25 years with Texas Parks and Wildlife services.

According to a press release, Richards received the Shikar-Safari International Wildlife Officer of the Year Award, was an active member of the Operation Game Thief program, and was an exemplary model and leader in Northeast Texas.

Richards has appeared in the TV show Lone Star Law.

Richards was recognized as the Texas Parks and Wildlife Officer of the Year in 2015 and he has been highly involved in resolving several Operation Game Thief cases.
