The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office is warning people of a phone scam currently making the rounds.

“We have been receiving several calls today about someone posing as a ‘Sergeant Alan (or Adam) Graham’ with the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office,” said the department. “He is having people forward him money in some type of effort about a bond.”

The department said this has taken place in the past, and they want everyone to know this is a scam and they do not have an Alan or Adam Graham working at the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office.

“If you have been contacted by anyone stating they are with the Sheriff’s office and wanting money, we want the person receiving the phone call to contact our office at 903-813-4200 immediately and not send any money without verification from someone at the Sheriff’s Office.”
