Sam Rayburn Independent School District recently approved several new hires for both junior high and high school campuses. One of the new hires included a new face to lead the high school boys basketball team.
Justin Tice, who is leaving his position as an assistant for the Celeste High School boys basketball team, will be heading the Rebels program.
Along with coaching the Rebels basketball squad, Tice will serve as an assistant for the high school baseball program to assist new head baseball coach and former Prairiland High School assistant, Austin Jones. In turn, Jones will be an assistant on Tice’s basketball staff. Tice will also coach cross country and teach science.
