Darkness comes as Bonham will be in the path of direct totality during an upcoming total solar eclipse, referred to as “The Great North American Solar Eclipse,” on April 8, 2024.
According to NationalEclipse.com, the total solar eclipse will trace through a narrow path across 13 U.S. states. Bonham will see the eclipse’s total darkness at about 1:43 p.m. for a little more than 2 minutes.
Bonham saw a partial solar eclipse back in August 2017, when the coast-to-coast total solar eclipse wafted over the U.S.
According to Astronomy.com, this will be the first total solar eclipse in the continental U.S. in seven years, and it will be another 20 years before the next one on Aug. 23, 2044.
