Honey Grove ISD superintendent Todd Morrison on Tuesday confirmed a student has tested positive for COVID-19.
“On Oct. 26 at approximately 9 p.m., we were notified of a student that tested positive for COVID-19. After notification, we immediately started the procedure of tracing the student’s close contacts. When the tracing was completed, we notified the guardians of the affected students.”
Morrison said the students affected are mandated to remote instruction for fourteen days and as a precaution, the band will not travel to Rivercrest on Oct. 28 for the game.
“Currently, this is the only active case at HGISD,” said Morrison. “If your student believes they have been in close contact with a positive case, call the office. Please continue to monitor your children of any symptoms. If any symptoms arise, keep them home. We continue to disinfect and clean all facilities daily.”
