Possible human remains found on County Road 1060 in Hunt County is being investigated by the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office after what appeared to be a human skull was found.
At about 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22, the sheriff’s office was dispatched to County Rod 1060, where deputies and investigators located “what appeared to be a human skull.”
“Hunt County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division conducted a thorough search of the area, and not other remains were located,” according to a release from Hunt County Sheriff Terry Jones.
Working with the University of North Texas Center for Human Identification to determine the identity, the Texas Rangers assisted the Hunt County Sheriffs Office.
