Texas Rangers, DCSO investigate fatal shooting in Cooper Sunday morning

Authorities are investigating after a shooting Sunday morning in Cooper, Texas, claimed the life of one man with another being flown to Dallas in a stable condition.

According to reports, at approximately 9:53 a.m., Delta County Deputies responded to a shooting at the Cooper Mart in the 800 block of West Dallas.

“One man was shot and died at the scene. Another man has been flown to Dallas with a gunshot wound where at last check he was said to be in stable condition. The shooter has been taken into custody,” said the department online. 

Texas Rangers are on the scene and will be assisting the Delta County Sheriffs Office with the crime scene and investigation.
