More than 234,000 pounds of fully cooked ham and pepperoni products have been recalled due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced the recall on Sunday stating the products were produced by Alexander & Hornung on various dates.
The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. M10125” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.
The problem was discovered when the company notified FSIS that product sampling reported positive Listeria monocytogenes results.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.
