Ector ISD announced Monday plans to go ahead with a graduation ceremony for the Class of 2020 set for May 29.
The festivities will begin with a Senior Parade beginning at 6 p.m. starting at the Exctor Ballfield and ending at Ector City Park. The parade route will be posted online soon.
The ceremony will be held at Ector City Park beginning at 6:45 p.m.
Seniors will be provided with a chair and will be allowed to invite 6 attendees to the ceremony. Each family will have a designated area to sit once they arrive. Each attendee must provide their own chair.
“We will follow all safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of everyone involved,” said the school.
If inclement weather, the parade and ceremony will be postponed until Saturday, May 30, 2020, at 9 a.m.
