Over the past week, the Bonham High School Warrior Band competed in two contests and advanced to UIL 3A Marching Contest in December.
On Saturday, Nov. 14, the band competed in the Celina Marching Invitational and took 4th place out of 10 bands in Class 3A.
“This was our highest placement at a marching invitational in several years,” said the school online.
On Wednesday night, the band competed at the UIL Region 25 Marching Contest in Celina and received a First Division (Superior) rating from all 3 judges.
“Based on UIL records, this is the first time the BHS Band has received the First Division at UIL Marching since 1996…..24 years.”
The band qualified to advance to the UIL 3A Area B Marching Contest on Dec. 3 in Midlothian.
