The Creative Arts Center on Thursday presented a check to Bonham Police Chief Bankston and Animal Control Officer Jimmy Gilbert from June’s Hair Ball Fundraiser.
“Words cannot express my gratitude to everyone who helped me pull this off. I am absolutely humbled, overjoyed and touched by the support given to both organizations. Special thanks to Diana Young, you were my rock and stood by me through all the tears and cheers,” said Executive Director of Creative Arts Center Jennifer Wilson.
The $3,984.37 will go towards the remodel and expansion of the animal shelter and help replace the dog-run fencing, giving the dogs more space outside to play.
The shelter is expanding to house more unwanted pets as funds are donated.
“The expansion will buy more time for these animals that were thrown away to find gentle loving furever homes.”
